8th Horcrux Party

The 8th Horcrux Party was a huge hit this Thursday! Everyone pulled together to create a magical night full of Quittage training, a sorting ceremony, magic duels, fun trivia, crafts, music, and loads of sweet treats.

Kat (one of our TAG members) figured out how to make Sugar Quills out of meringue and they were the first treat to go! Everyone's face was covered in a joyful layer of sugary sweetness by the end of the night.

Practising our Quittage skills behind the library:

The sorting hat takes its time choosing the fate of the fearful first years, lets hope it chooses right! We were so lucky to have Professor Mcgonagall to help us communicate with the sorting hat during the ceremony.

GRYFFINDOR!

We had lots of fun taking photos with our Harry Potter themed props:

The Dementors will have their hands full with so many witches and wizards heading to Azkaban Prison.... Sadly we were unable to get photos of the magic duels, but the muggle technology interferes with the magic, and in some cases it can be disastrous. Especially with a group of untrained wizards. But I'm sure any young witch or wizard would be happy to show you their moves, as long as it stays within school and under the supervision of a teacher.

And of course a HUGE thank you to everyone who helped make this party happen! I hope everyone has a very magical October, see you at the next event! ~TAG
